LinkManager Connections in Prime

With our release 003, we proudly welcome LinkManager users into Prime.

The LinkManager User Experience lets users easily locate devices and establish connections directly from Prime. Supported connection types in Prime include:

  • In-browser RDP
  • In-browser VNC
  • In-browser SSH
  • Web (WWW connections)
  • LinkManager Connections

Navigating Prime as a LinkManager User

Appliances Page

After signing in, LinkManager Users will land on the Appliances Page, which features a folder-based structure displaying:
• Domains
• Endpoints
• SiteManagers

Users can click on any SiteManager or Endpoint to view details and initiate available connections.

How to establish a LinkManager Connection

  1. Click on an Endpoint or SiteManager if you want to start a LinkManager Connection.

  2. Prime will check if the LinkManager client is running:
    a. If the client is not open, users will have an option to launch it directly from the browser.

  3. A global indicator in the top-right corner of Prime shows the status of the LinkManager client.

  4. Clicking the Connect button will establish a connection, changing the button to Disconnect.

  5. To disconnect, users can:
    a. Click Disconnect on the Endpoint details page.
    b. Use the global indicator in the top-right corner.

  6. To switch connections:
    a. Navigate to a different Endpoint and click Connect.
    b. The previous connection will automatically disconnect, and the new one will be established.

How to establish an In-browser Connection

Selecting any in-browser connection type (RDP, VNC, SSH, or Web) on the SiteManager or Endpoint details page will open a new tab with the established session.

• The same conditions for connections apply as in GateManager.
