The purpose of this article is to inform the reader that Wireshark can be used to troubleshoot the connection between DCM and your device.
As Wireshark has predefined filters for modbus and OPC UA it's a relatively easy task to grab data from OPC UA, and modbus connections.
Prerequisites
- Moderate level of knowledge about Wireshark and IP communication.
- PC with Wireshark installed
- A switch with port-mirroring
