The WiFi settings are only available when a Secomea WiFi USB adapter is inserted into a free USB port of this SiteManager. A WiFi adapter will take precedence over broadband uplink, so if the WiFi adapter is installed into a SiteManager with integrated mobile broadband modem, or if installed together with a mobile broadband USB modem, the WiFi adapter will be used as UPLINK2. For SiteManagers where the physical USB ports are in use, you can share a USB port using a standard USB hub. Note that although this SiteManager supports a great variety of USB hubs, there may be models that are not recognized. WiFi settings are only relevant when WiFi Mode (on System > DEV1 page) is set to "Client".
Wireless Network Name also called SSID. The SSID must match that of the access point (AP) that this SiteManager should connect to. If both SSID and WiFi Key are left blank, the SiteManager will attempt to connect to the default SSID "sitemanager".
- WiFi Key:
Enter the Key as an ASCII string from 8 to 63 of length. WPA/TKIP or WPA2/AES-CCMP will be tried for negotiation. If both SSID and WiFi Key are left blank, the SiteManager will automatically try using its DEV1 MAC address as key (in lower case, no colons; e.g. 00c0a2123456).
Hint: The default SSID and WiFi Key allows you to quickly make the SiteManager get Internet access using your smartphone as hotspot, without having to configure these WiFi settings. Just enter the tethering menu (aka. Internet Sharing or Mobile Hotspot) of your smartphone and configure "sitemanager" as SSID and the SiteManager's DEV1 MAC address as WiFi Key.
Troubleshooting: The result of the Scan action may indicate "Connected", even if the key is wrong. To firmly determine if the connection was successful, enter the Status > Network menu and verify that the UPLINK2 interface has received an IP address. If not, check your WiFi settings and try rebooting the SiteManager. Also check that the signal quality (SQ) is acceptable. If not try relocate the SiteManager relative to the access point. Also note that SiteManager will connect to 2.4GHz WiFi networks only.
This section of the System > UPLINK/UPLINK2 page provides settings for connecting to the ISP (Internet Service Provider).
These settings are only relevant for PPPoE mode.

- ISP Authentication
Select how the ISP is to be authenticated to this SiteManager. Possible choices are "None", "PAP" and "CHAP".
- ISP User Name
Enter the user name used by the ISP to authenticate itself to this SiteManager (if applicable).
- ISP Password
Enter the password used by the ISP to authenticate itself to this SiteManager (if applicable).
Note: If both the (local) User Name and the ISP User Name are identical, the two passwords must also be identical, because the system is unable to distinguish between the two names.
