This article will provide information on how the "Go to Appliance" (GTA) buttons can be configured to open certain programs when used.
Starting with release 8.3, LinkManager can now automatically open a program for some of the services available, and you can also choose which action LinkManager should perform upon pressing the button to use a service.
The services in question include (click the links for a guide on how to set up and connect):
- Remote Desktop - Opens Microsoft Remote Desktop - If installed.
- VNC - Opens TightVNC, UltraVNC or RealVNC viewer - If installed.
- Telnet - Opens Putty - If Installed.
- SSH - Opens Putty - If installed.
The image below shows an example of the choices available when you have a "VNC" and "RDP" button.
