SiteManager AP/Client mode
This article provides basic information on what is needed and how to configure a SiteManager to use AP or client mode.
- A supported SiteManager.
- Secomea Wi-Fi module for the Access Point mode.
SiteManager AP mode setup
Start out by going to System -> DEV1 and change Wi-Fi Mode to "Access Point". Reboot the SiteManager. After this Insert the Wi-Fi module into the SiteManager and reboot.
After the SiteManager has been rebooted, you will be able to configure your Wi-Fi Access point with Wi-Fi SSID and key above. Remember that the SiteManager does not automatically enable a DHCP server for the Wi-Fi network. If you want to enable a DHCP server for the new Wi-Fi network then you will need to define this in the menu below Wi-Fi Mode called DHCP >>.
SiteManager Wi-Fi Client mode setup
Start out by going to System -> DEV1 and change Wi-Fi Mode to "Client". Reboot the SiteManager. After this Insert the Wi-Fi module into the SiteManager and reboot.
After the SiteManager has rebooted, you will need to go to System -> Uplink2. Enter the SSID and Wi-Fi Key of the Wi-Fi network that you want to access with the SiteManager (You can search for the correct one by clicking "Scan"). After Clicking Save, the SiteManager will connect to the Wi-Fi Access point.
